GIRLS SOCCER: Landreth's late goal propels Clearfield past Roy

CLEARFIELD — Sierra Landreth scored the go-ahead goal in the final 10 minutes Wednesday to propel Clearfield to a 3-2 victory over Roy.

Landreth’s goal capped a thrilling second half where the Royals erased a two-goal deficit.

Jenna Echols and McKenna McMillan each scored in the first half, but Roy equalized in the second following a pair of goals from Weber State commit Taylor Scadlock.

BEN LOMOND 4, MAESER PREP 1

OGDEN — Playing under the lights on the football field, Ben Lomond produced four goals in the first half and cruised past Maeser Prep.

The game was called with about 10 minutes left because of lightning.

Alondra Rodriguez scored twice for the Scots while Paige Conley and Delani Moss each scored once.

Ben Lomond led 4-0 at halftime.
