1. Louvre Museum — Paris. Home to the “Mona Lisa” painting, the “Venus de Milo” statue, the “Liberty Leading the People” painting, and many others.

2. The Metropolitan Museum of Art — New York City. Home to the paintings “Portrait of a Young Woman,” “Death of Socrates” and “Water Lily Pond.”

3. The Victoria and Albert Museum — London. Home to the “Neptune and Triton” statue, “The Day Dream” painting and “The Mill” painting.

4. The Uffizi Gallery — Florence, Italy. Home to such paintings as “The Birth of Venus,”  “Primavera” and “The Madonna and Child.”

5. Museum of Modern Art — New York City. Here you can see “The Starry Night,” “The Persistence of Memory” and “The Lovers.”

6. National Gallery of Norway — Oslo. “The Scream,” “Ashes” and “Spring by the Seine” are among the works hanging on walls here.

7. The Art Institute of Chicago — Chicago. This museum includes “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” painting as well as “American Gothic” and “Two Sisters (On the Terrace).”

8. Mauritshuis Museum — The Hague, Netherlands. Home to the “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” “The Garden of Eden with the Fall of Man” and “The Proposition” paintings.

9. Getty Museum — Los Angeles. See “Irises,” “The Abduction of Europa” and “The Wounded Foot.”

10. Musée Marmottan Monet — Paris. Home to more than 300 of Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings..
