A former Bonneville High tennis star has already made her mark in the record books as a first-year college athlete.
Utah State freshman Hannah Jones defeated San Diego State’s Olivia Larsson (7-6, 6-0) in the first round of the Mountain West Conference tennis tournament Thursday, April 27. The victory gave her 29 singles wins this season, setting a new school record at USU.
Jones won the 4-A first singles state championship in 2014 as a junior at Bonneville. She was expected to compete for another state title as a senior but elected to participate in a tournament out of state instead. She ended her high school career with a perfect record against region opponents.
