OGDEN — Weber State announced the men’s basketball game against Idaho State in Pocatello has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, after Saturday night’s game was suspended due to a leaky roof in Holt Arena.

The rescheduled game will be played inside Idaho State’s Reed Gym instead.

Five minutes into Saturday night’s game, officials stopped play as they noticed water leaking from the ceiling and onto the basketball court. In accordance with Big Sky Conference regulations, officials waited an hour before choosing to suspend the game to avoid injury.

Before the action was halted, the Wildcats built a 13-2 lead over the Bengals, and the game will resume from that point. Sophomore guard Ryan Richardson was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc for a game-high nine points.

The rescheduled game is two days before the teams meet again on Friday, Jan. 27, in Ogden.
