Warrior Health and Fitness Center New Year's Eve bash

The Warrior Health and Fitness Center is scheduled to host a free New Year's Eve bash Dec. 31 from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The staff would like for everyone to stop by the bash and celebrate the closing of 2009 as well as the beginning of 2010 with a day of fun and fitness.

The bash will include fitness events, challenges, competitions and trivia with prizes being awarded to the winners.

Toys for Tots returns to Hill AFB

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots has come to Hill Air Force Base to conduct toy collection and distribution through Dec. 18.

The campaign, which began in October, asks for caring Americans to drop off new, unwrapped toys at collection sites located around the base.

The toys are then picked up and sorted in a central warehouse to be distributed to children in need by the local Toys for Tots Coordinators.

Marines, local welfare agencies and churches will distribute the toys Dec.
