Snowstorm causing problems from Rockies to Midwest

DENVER — A storm that has dumped more than a foot of snow in the Rocky Mountains was causing problems for travelers as it spread across the Plains on Wednesday.

DENVER — A storm that has dumped more than a foot of snow on the Rocky Mountains moved into the Denver area Wednesday, slowing down the morning commute and delaying flights as it provided much-needed moisture.

DENVER -- A federal appeals court must decide if the Obama administration gave energy companies enough notice that it was scrapping Bush-era energy leases near national parks in Utah, the auction for which prompted an environmental activist to drive up prices with his bidding in an act of civil disobedience.
