Duane Chris and Karla Garner Jensen of North Ogden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family at the Maddox Ranch House. They were married on June 6, 1963, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

He was born on July 11, 1941, in Ogden to Duane A. Jensen and Adele McFarlane Jensen. He graduated from Weber High School, where he was a wrestler and on the debate team, and Weber State College. He was a concert pianist in his youth. He served an LDS mission to Australia. He later met Karla Garner. Among his church positions, gospel doctrine teacher was his favorite. He enjoyed serving as a temple worker in the Ogden LDS Temple. He has worked at Western Star Trucking, Hill Air Force Base, Volvo White Motor, Levolor and retired from Autoliv. His hobbies are fishing, tennis, cooking, photography, computers and camping.

Dave and Karen Toone of Ogden will be honored by their children for their 50th wedding anniversary. Family and friends may attend an open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on June 21 at the LDS Memorial Park Ward, 3755 S. Porter Ave., Ogden.

He grew up in Magna and graduated from Cyprus High School. She grew up in East Mill Creek and graduated from Olympus High School. Both attended the University of Utah. They met at the LDS Institute. Later they were married in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1963. He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1965.

They were married on June 15, 1963, in the old base chapel at Hill Air Force Base.

Lora Gaye Carver Bybee of Uintah will celebrate her 80th birthday in July when all her family can be together.

She was born on June 16, 1933, in Ogden to Royal G. and Ivy Skeen Carver. She was raised in Plain City with her brother and sisters: Dr. R. Thair Carver, Ivy June Beesley and Nadine Taggart. She is a graduate of Weber High School. She played violin in the school orchestra, second through 12th grade. She attended Utah State University for a short time, and was employed by Ogden City Board of Education.

Indra Belle Buswell Willis of Ogden will celebrate her 90th birthday on June 22. Family and friends may attend an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Farr West Westwood Ward building, 2100 N. 2000 West.

She was born on June 21, 1923, in Ogden to John Daniel Buswell and Indra Averett. She grew up on the northeast corner of 36th Street and Washington Boulevard. Her siblings were John Robert Buswell, Gene Buswell DeGroot, and Don Averett Buswell.

She was born on July 21, 1922, in Warren to Gilbert and Mabel East of Warren. She married Dale E. Penrod on March 7, 1942, in Malad, Idaho.

Carmen Baldwin Sholly of South Ogden celebrated her 90th birthday with family and close friends at a party held in her honor on June 8.

She was born on June 8, 1923, in Brawder, Ky., a daughter of William and Goldie Ashby Baldwin. She was educated in Kentucky and baptized in the Baptist Church.

Hyrum H. Peterson of North Ogden celebrated his 80th birthday with a family party on Saturday, June 15.

He was born on June 13, 1933, in Providence to Hyrum Howard and Relia Peterson. He married Marie Mansfield on Sept. 26, 1952, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. She died on Aug. 30, 2000.

Alice Elizabeth Rohwer Crittenden of Hooper will celebrate her 80th birthday on June 19. Family and friends may attend an open house in her honor from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening at the home of her daughter Lisa DellaLucia, 4926 S. 4925 West, Hooper.

She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on June 19, 1933, to Irl Adolph and Eudora Pearce Rohwer. They later moved to Paradise and then to Washington Terrace. Her high school years were spent in Rigby, Idaho. She returned to Ogden and attended Thomas Dee Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated in 1954 as a registered nurse.

Dora Telck Anselmi of West Weber will celebrate her 90th birthday on June 14 with her entire family for sun and fun at Bear Lake. Family and friends may continue the celebration at an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. on June 22 at Jeremiah’s, 1307 W. 1200 South, Ogden.

She was born to Joseph and Guiditta Telck on June 14, 1923, in Reliance, Wyo. She had one older sister and two younger brothers: Edith Telck, Joseph Telck and Henry Telck.

Today's Viral Video: Miss Utah struggles with pageant question

Miss Utah Marissa Powell had a rough day at the Miss USA pageant recently when she struggled to answer one of the pageant's open-ended questions.

In this case, the question was: "In 40 percent of families with kids, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?" Powell's response, which meanders from education to job creation, has since gone viral.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Lawyers for Utah Attorney General John Swallow have sent a letter to the Legislature saying impeachment proceedings against him are unjustified.
