GOP debates more entertaining than circus clowns

Editor,

Watching the Republican presidential debates over the past couple of months has been more entertaining then going to a circus and watching the clowns.

All we hear from Mitt Romney is, I know how to create jobs. I'm the job creator. I was in the private sector for years, and I can create jobs. When he was asked about releasing his tax records, he was reluctant to make an immediate release and it was obvious why he was so hesitant. He paid approximately 14 percent, a smaller percentage rate than the majority of us working class folks. His response was; "I did it all legally and I didn't pay one dollar more then I had to." How patriotic.

Bush, Cheney put final nail in economic coffin

(UNEDITED) I've had just about enough of the Republican bull about this bad economy and high unemployment rate being the fault of President Obama's bad leadership and policies. I guess if you have a shallow narrow mind and a short memory you just might fall for the bull FOX News, the Republican Presidential candidates, and their constituents continue to run at the mouth about.

Government can play a role in helping poor

(UNEDITED)In reference to a 13 Sep letter "Bible: Republicans wrong in not helping poor". I thought about this very same subject many times over the years. So much so that a few years back I had written the LDS President Gordon B. Hinkley a letter concerning this very matter. At the time I considered him to be a very honest and caring person and thought I would get a sincere and truthful reply to my letter. I received no reply what so ever. As a result, I lost some respect for your prophet. I felt he would give a worthwhile reply defending the LDS views on this. I was wrong.

Talk show hosts lied about, mocked Obama

(UNEDITED) In response to a letter of a few days ago titled "Did conservatives cast insults, lies about Obama?" From the content of this persons letter it is obvious they watch only unbiased news networks such as Fox News, and listens only to Conservative talk show hosts such as Hannity, Beck and the king of all; Big Rush Limberger. The mouth that for years operated with use of his drug supply and maybe still does. But does the writer watch and listen to who I just mentioned? If so they would realize that Obama is highly critized, made mockery of, and outright lied about. In my opinion these Conservative types are ruthless and ignorant more often than not.

Republicans in control will help only the rich

The main intent of my letter is to thank Miguel R. Serda, Jr., for his June 28 letter, "Childish Republicans walk out on budget meeting," for the fine and very informative letters he has written over the past number of years. I enjoy his letters to the editor and agree with most everything he writes about. He expresses himself very well.

It's too bad the majority of the people of Utah doesn't take heed to what he writes about. He tells us what the Republican Party is all about, and who they really represent, but it seems as if it falls on deaf ears.

Reader amazed by Republican Party

(UNEDITED) The Republican Party never ceases to amaze me. They are experts at least in one sense, as much as I regret giving them credit at being an expert at anything. They are experts at setting up the circumstance of any issue or situation where it's like, heads I win, tails you lose. Or no matter the outcome of a specific situation you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. And no matter how wrong they may be and no matter how much evidence you reveal that proves that they were wrong, they will never admit to it. they will continue to cover up for their wrong doings with more deception.
