Protestors should blame lawmakers and president

(UNEDITED) The protesters at the Occupy Wall street, Ogden, Salt Lake, etc have been out doing the camping, marching, disrupting traffic etc. for 2 months now. What do they feel they have accomplished?

I have a question to all the protesters. How many of you have voted in the past elections? How many have become involved in the political process to see if they could change the people who are actually causing the problem.

I was in Portland, Ore., delivering goods for the company I drove a truck for. It all happened about 7:15 a.m., as I was unloading the last item. The receiver came out and told me what had happened, but he really didn't know much. He signed my papers and I was off for Ogden. I listened to the truck radio and couldn't believe it. I drove nonstop to Ogden in 10 1/2 hours. I have never felt so far away from home.

Public may find other means to travel

(UNEDITED)My wife and I have made some discussions regarding flying, in light of the new TSA bomb searches, we choose not to fly. No sense in going through the humiliation of being groped and fondled, crammed into a tight seat, lost luggage, etc, and it costs extra for luggage, pillow or a blanket. The one place we do travel is Southern California. I can drive to San Diego in 12 hours.

We need solution to 'anchor baby' problem

(UNEDITED)Anchor babies have finally become a big issue. I guess no one knew this was happening till the immigration debate came up. It's almost broke the state of California with the costs. Many illegal immigrants come to our country, risking their life, just to have their child in America.

The 14th amendment to the constitution states all persons born in America are to become citizens, just for being born here. Fine, that doesn't automatically give citizenship to the parents, uncle, aunt, grandparents, etc. Your baby is now a citizen but you aren't. Either take the child with you back to your country, or arrange for someone in America to raise the child for you. There are a lot of people who will adopt your baby, now it is a citizen.
