Layton says it knows what's best for its people

Editor,

What’s happening in Layton? We, the folks in southern Utah County, watch a noteworthy story unfolds: Layton’s government knows best and tries to cram its interest down the throats of a small neighborhood. It’s a story we’ve heard all too often, one in which a group of local politicians allow the erosion of their principles and start to believe that wisdom and common sense reside in them, favoring them over the ordinary people who elected them. But the neighborhood fights the city’s campaign to create the Village Center, a high density development.
