Editor,Regarding the letter of Sept. 20, "Elk farm shouldn't be in resident's backyard," it's sad that the writer perceives these beautiful creatures as a nuisance. She states that they scream and keep her up at night. It is not a scream, it is a bugle and it is a natural thing they do while in the rutting season. I have to say that for me, it is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world. While I can sympathize with her that it keeps her up and night. For me, it would be worth it for the short time they do this, and to be able to watch them up close all year.
