Forty-six.What does that number represent?The number of weeks that that the 2013 season lasted for Real Salt Lake.The Claret-and-Cobalt players reported for training way back on Jan. 20, and wrapped up their campaign on Saturday with a heart-breaking shootout loss to Sporting Kansas City in the MLS Cup.And what a journey it turned out to be.

Less than a week ago, Real Salt Lake looked like it was in serious trouble.Down a goal heading into the second leg of its playoff series with two-time defending Major League Soccer Cup champion Los Angeles, the Utah side faced an uphill climb to overturn the deficit and advance.That climb turned out to be just what the Claret-and-Cobalt needed.
