Editor,
The sequestration does not target any of these kinds of outrageous abuses of taxpayer dollars listed. 1) Free cell phones: This program cost $2.2 billion so far in 2013 alone. 2) Obamacare promotion: The federal government spent $51.6 million last year promoting Obamacare and paying public relations firms. 3) IRS TV studio: The IRS has a full-service TV production studio which costs $4 million annually to operate. 4) Property maintenance: The federal government spent $1.7 billion in 2010 to maintain property that is not in use or underutilized. 5) EPA Grants to Foreign Countries: The EPA has given more than $100 million in grants to foreign countries over the last ten years, and not to mention the 90 different green energy programs across 11 different federal agencies that are eating up government resources, and this is only the tip of the iceberg.
