Present gun-control laws not always enforced

Editor,

There are ample gun control laws already in place, by both states and the federal government. They have not been enforced over the years. If they were good laws, why are they not enforced?  If they were not good laws, why were they passed?  Oft repeated, criminals will not apply for a gun permit, risking a background check.  Persons with mental disabilities do not know they need to apply for a gun permit.  Passing new gun control laws only restrict the law abiding. I don’t like it.

Paper ballots should be the only way to cast votes

Editor,

I agree with the writer of the Oct. 4 letter, "Paper ballots less costly, less prone to fraud." I worked on the election board in California and once on the election board since I moved to Utah.

Mormons use the King James Bible

(UNEDITED) In response to October 27, Mormons Worship a Different Jesus. My references are found in the King James version of The Holy Bible. In my humble opinion, I make the following comments. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I worship Heavenly Father. I worship and pray to Him exactly as Jesus Christ taught in Matthew 6. I honor, revere, follow, and am in awe of Jesus Christ.
