Newspapers should warn readers about grisly details

Editor,

I enjoy reading the news, but I wonder why the Standard-Examiner can’t place a warning on articles such as the article regarding Nathanael Sloop’s hearing, March 28, “abuse details emerge.”  It contains graphic details or photographs.  Television news already provides this benefit. I don’t want to know the grisly details! I know some do.

Having commissioner work for free is a bad idea

Editor,

Although it’s kind of Mr. Andersen to not want to take a salary for the Davis County Commission, it’s not sustainable (Oct. 1 news article, "Work for free?"). Do we only want wealthy candidates to represent our needs at a local or national level?
