Are NBA injuries a result of condensed season?

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves' game on Sunday against Golden State was the perfect example of how injuries can derail a season. The Wolves played without guards Ricky Rubio and Luke Ridnour and forward Kevin Love. Warriors coach Mark Jackson is dealing with so many injuries that he has been starting four rookies.

Love peers into future with Timberwolves

Minnesota Timberwolves center Kevin Love had some extra time after Monday's practice. His sore groin muscle kept him out of the workout, and he wasn't flying with the team to New Jersey for Tuesday's game, so Love had plenty of time to answer questions.

And, in what essentially became a "state of Kevin Love" session, he answered questions about his future in Minnesota and what he thinks the organization needs to do to improve.
