Juxtaposing religion with knowledge pursuit insincere

Editor,

Regarding the Sept. 18 story, "Ancient papyrus mentions Jesus' wife," whenever I read "Our view" on the editorial page of the Standard, I assume that there is a consensus among the publisher and two editors on what is being imparted. If such was "the case" in their Sept. 26, "Religious inquiry a positive," then congrats; it is the quintessence of just how disingenuous it truly is trying to juxtapose religious institutionalism with your idealistic, ne’er ending, "pursuit of knowledge."
