3 dead in shooting on San Jose State campus

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- A shocking shooting at a San Jose State University parking garage that left three people dead is being investigated as a murder-suicide, university police said Wednesday.

Calif. explosion, fire neighborhood now a crime scene

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Firefighters are conducting a grim search for more bodies in the San Bruno neighborhood where at least four people died in a massive fire sparked by a gas main explosion. More than 50 other people were injured, including four firefighters, and 38 homes were destroyed in a scene that one neighbor described as "hell on earth."
