Brittany Fisher

USU runner Brittany Fisher continues remarkable recovery from 2012 rock-climbing accident

LOGAN – From an outsider’s perspective, sports like track and field, and cross country, often appear to be individual sports. Results and finishes are determined by each athlete’s personal performance, rather than as a group. However, ask any runner, jumper or thrower and they will tell you just how wrong that is.

So much of a track athlete’s success comes from the support of his or her teammates. From helping coach them in practice to cheering them on from the sidelines as they compete, the camaraderie and support involved in a single event is what turns these individual performances into team sports.

Dale Mildenberger

After 38 years, Hall of Fame athletic trainer Dale Mildenberger retiring from Utah State

LOGAN – When Dale Mildenberger first set foot on the campus of Utah State University in 1975, he did so very reluctantly, sure it was just a job to get him started.

Now, 38 years later with numerous accolades, including his name on the wall of the Dale Mildenberger Sports Medicine Complex. He leaves Utah State having dedicated his career to the care and well being of countless student-athletes.

USU senior tight end not taking anything for granted

LOGAN – If there’s anything Kellen Bartlett has learned in his time at Utah State, it’s to not take anything for granted -- especially in the game of football.

This year, the senior tight end from Blue Springs, Mo., has super-senior status, but not necessarily by his own choice. Bartlett has spent three blocks of time sitting on the sidelines with various injuries.

Al Lapuaho

Junior college transfer and in-state product Lapuaho proud to be an Aggie

LOGAN – For some people, it is easy to describe what it means to be a part of their team and university. To Utah State senior defensive lineman Al Lapuaho, being an Aggie is everything.

While it took him awhile to get to this point, he sees the influence it has had on his life and the impact he wants it to continue to create.

McKade Brady

Local talent always dreamed of playing football at Utah State

LOGAN -- Growing up in Cache Valley, it’s easy to become a dedicated Aggie fan. For some young children, that dedication turns into a goal; a goal to be a part of the pride, spirit and passion that is Aggie football.

Adam Kennedy

Senior quarterback ready to go entering final football season at Utah State

LOGAN -- If you were to ask Adam Kennedy (Elk Grove, Calif./San Joaquin Delta College) to pick one word to describe his football career, he would say ‘battle.’ From his early days as a high school athlete through these final weeks of camp leading up to his senior season, the quarterback has always had to put up a fight to prove himself.

Aggie football seniors stick together

LOGAN -- The chemistry and camaraderie among members of a group or team makes all the difference in their happiness and success. It is clear when you look at or talk to any members of the USU football team that there is something there. These guys are not just teammates. They are friends, even brothers.

"The best part about these years have been the people I've gotten to know and be around," said Bobby Wagner, senior linebacker (Ontario, Calif.). "There have been different personalities I've gotten to be around."

Senior defensive end Levi Koskan (Smithfield) agreed. "The best part for sure is the people you get to be around," he said. "If you aren't close to your teammates, you have no one to celebrate with. Here, we're winning with our friends."

That friendship is not something that is just there on the field, but continues after practice.

Despite stature, big-hearted Harris puts everything into game

LOGAN -- Though he stands at only 5-foot-8, senior safety Chris Harris puts his whole heart into his effort on the football field.

"It's not about size," Harris said. "If you have heart, if you have toughness, you'll be OK."

Johansen

Outside the limelight is alright for USU's Johansen

LOGAN -- Through his time at Utah State, wide receiver Josh Johansen has given it his all as a part of the Aggie football team. Even though he has seen action in just one game of his college career, he shows up to every practice and works hard.

"It's all for the love of football," Johansen said. "It's been a part of my life for so long that I couldn't not have it."

Johansen, a senior from Kaysville, played for Davis High School. He lettered in three seasons during his high school career and was named to the all-region second team. When it came time to go to college, the game wasn't something he was ready to give up.

Aggies Flores, Lloyd big on hearts and memories

LOGAN -- Rob and Big, Mutt and Jeff, the Fox and the Hound, Oscar and Felix. All are stories of the unlikeliest of characters who came together and became the best of friends.

The Utah State football team has a pair just like that in the senior duo of running back Josh Flores and tight end Tarren Lloyd.
