(UNEDITED) All the leashes in the world couldn't hold back our family of humans and Mini Schnauzers when we learned there was an off leash dog park in Roy!
Dubbed the "high voltage park" by the regulars, the area is nothing more than a fenced in drainage pond under the busy buzz of power lines that could jump start your car if you merely wave the cables in the air. Do it yourself pace maker patients know how adjust their devices by just driving slowly under the wires. The park was paradise shaped like a square doggie dish. The abundant foxtails added texture to the play, the gaps under the fence hinted of escape, and the ever present mud puddle was a beautiful water feature. The drainage tunnel at the north end adds a dangerous element and is occupied by a schnauzer eating monster!
