We take public employees, utility workers for granted

Editor,

Just a quick but sincere thanks to all the city, and state employees who have done a remarkable job in keeping our roads safe. The weather has been tough this year, maybe not the worst, but certainly there have been lots of late nights and long days in trucks full of sand and salt used to keep the roads passable. Often, we take it for granted that we can get up in the morning or after a day at work, get into our cars and drive to work or back home on roads that are kept clear by hard working people.
