In the immediate aftermath of the Newtown tragedy, Representative Curt Oda endorsed the arming of school teachers and administrators to keep our children safe. More recently, he opined at a public forum that our schools should be redesigned, as existing buildings have too many windows and open spaces. The picture that emerges from the conjunction of these ideas is clear: “a prison by any other name …”
