Choir to record with renowned Welsh baritone

SALT LAKE CITY — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is working on a recording to be released on the Deutsche Grammophon label. The worldwide release of the CD is set for September and will feature the choir; its companion ensemble, the Orchestra at Temple Square; and internationally acclaimed baritone Bryn Terfel.

Schools earn cash from mall contest

OGDEN — Newgate Mall is contributing $68,000 to area schools that collected the most receipts and points in the mall’s “My School’s Cool’ program.

Last week T.H Bell received the $12,000 cash prize for the shopping center’s 2012-2013 junior high division. Seven other awards will be presented over the next several weeks. Specific awards will be announced at each school.

H&M, Nordstrom Rack among new stores coming to Station Park

FARMINGTON — Led by H&M (Hennes and Mauritz) and Nordstrom Rack, nearly two dozen restaurants and fashion retailers will be opening at Station Park in the weeks and months ahead.

Stores opening Utah outlets for the first time in Station Park include: Charming Charlie, Republic of Couture (ROC), and It’Sugar. First-to-market restaurants and eateries include: Twigs Martini Bar & Bistro and Bandidos Taqueria.
