Quester board sets dividend

SALT LAKE CITY — The Questar Corp. board of directors on Friday approved a quarterly stock dividend of 16.25 cents per share.

A common stock dividend is money that’s paid each quarter to shareholders of the company, as a form of return on investment. This dividend, payable March 12 to any shareholders of record as of Feb. 24, is the same as the previous quarter, according to a news release from the natural gas company.

This is Questar’s 269th consecutive dividend.

Crimson Club Hall of Fame to induct McBride, Van Horn, two others on April 23

SALT LAKE CITY -- The University of Utah will induct two former Ute athletes and a pair of former coaches into the Crimson Club Hall of Fame on April 23 at EnergySolutions Arena.

Honored at the 2012 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be Norma Carr (softball and volleyball coach/administrator), Bente Dahlum (skiing), Ron McBride (football coach) and Keith Van Horn (basketball).

Arnie Ferrin to be inducted into Pac-12 Basketball Hall of Honor

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Former Ute Arnie Ferrin, a four-time All-American and member of Utah's 1944 NCAA champion and 1947 NIT champion men's basketball teams, will become the first Ute inducted into the Pac-12 Basketball Hall of Honor, the conference announced this week.

Ferrin -- who played at Ogden High School -- joins 11 other incductees, one from each Pac-12 school, including 10 other players and one coach.

Jazzman Hayward named to 2012 BBVA Rising Stars Challenge

SALT LAKE CITY -- The NBA announced Wednesday that Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward is among 18 players selected for the 2012 BBVA Rising Stars Challenge on Feb. 24 in Orlando, during NBA All-Star 2012.
