Like a Rock: Chevy celebrates 100th anniversary

DETROIT -- We saw the USA in them. We drove them to the levee. We even worked on our night moves in their back seats.

For a century, Chevrolets won America's love with their safety, convenience, style and speed -- even if sometimes they were clunky, or had problems with rust or their rear suspensions.

Chevy, which lays claim to being the top-selling auto brand of all time, celebrates its 100th birthday on Thursday.

DETROIT — Chrysler Group LLC and the United Auto Workers negotiators agreed on a new four-year contract early Wednesday that creates 2,100 new jobs.

DETROIT -- Honda Motor Co. will recall more than 410,000 Odyssey minivans and Element small trucks because of braking system problems that could make it tougher to stop the vehicle if not repaired.

Toyota casts doubt on Prius case

SAN DIEGO -- Toyota cast doubt Monday on a California man's claim that his Prius sped out of control, saying the report is inconsistent with the findings of the company's preliminary investigation.
