Regarding the letter of Feb. 4, "Racism seems to be alive and well, it is the Democrat controlled Senate that has blocked almost all legislation passed by the House. The Democrats have not passed a budget since President Barack Obama was elected, even when both the Senate and House were Democrat-controlled for two years. My husband began working at the age of 10 shining shoes and spent 23 years as a sergeant in the USAF and I worked wherever I could trying to save for our senior years and resent being called bigoted and uncaring since we are Republicans. It is the Democrat Party that is promoting "class warfare" and doing nothing to help the middle class. We all benefit when the Constitution and Bill of Rights are followed. My prayer is that we will not be deceived into becoming a socialist, facist or communist nation.
