Recently in the evening news was a segment about a panel recommending that the governor and top officials get a 37 percent raise in their salaries. In this economy, how can they justify an increase of that magnitude? I find this view extremely out of touch with the people who put them in office, especially when there are people out of work drawing unemployment or loosing their homes.
