U.S. drug users are accomplices to murders

All you teens and adults in Ogden that buy illegal drugs are accomplices in the thousands of people murdered by drug dealers in Mexico. It's true that you're just a small part of the picture but your purchase of drugs smuggled into this country by drug dealers sends your money to the dealers and enables them to buy weapons and pay to have police officers and government officials in Mexico and South America killed. In plain English, you help them to kill these people by sending them money. You enable them to smuggle more drugs across our border, then sell the drugs to a user who commits crimes and kills people in this country.

We've been fleeced by the golden sheep

"What fools these mortals be." Wise words from Shakespeare said by Puck in "A Midsummers Nights Dream." And very true today. For the past several decades the citizens of this country have accepted actions by politicians, in both parties, that have resulted in us becoming their "golden sheep" to fleece, and simultaneously reducing us to political serfs. They have either outright lied to us, or deceived us by misdirection, misinformation, or political doublespeak. They have twisted our congressional procedures to the extent that the average person cannot know exactly what their doing. And today, while they play games and grandstand, by talking of cutting spending and reducing our national debt, they maneuver to cut here while raising there, and looking for new ways to squeeze more money from us.

Cut government in half and fund defense

(UNEDITED)What fools these mortals be." Wise words from Shakespeare said by Puck in "A Midsummer Nights Dream." And still true today. For the past several decades the regular citizens of this country have accepted actions by politicians, in both parties, that resulting in making us their "golden geese" to fleece, and simultaneously reducing us to sort of serfs. They have either outright lied to us, or deceived us by misdirection, misinformation, or political doublespeak. They have twisted our congressional procedures to the extent that the average person cannot know exactly what they are doing. And today, while they play games and grandstand, by talking of cutting spending and reducing our national debt, they maneuver to cut here while raising there, and looking for new ways to squeeze more money from us.

Taxpayers should not bail out pension plans

(UNEDITED)Are you ready for the next outrageous attack on the Tax Payer's pocketbook? Big Labor, after contributing hundred of millions of dollars to elect Liberals to congress, after giving themselves large six figure salaries, flying around in private jets, and staying in four star hotels, the big labor Unions are short of funds in their pension plans. They need 167 Billion dollars. Senate Democrat, Bob Casey and House Democrat Earl Pomeroy, supported by the Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin, have introduced a bill to bailout these pension plans. No Senate Republicans have signed onto the bill. Unfortunately in the House, eight Republicans have joined with the Democrats to spend more tax money to bail out people who have made costly decisions. This is reportedly not a one time bailout, but would be an ongoing entitlement program funded by taxpayers, and would guarantee an annual benefit of $21,000.

We have the government we elected

There have been efforts in the newspaper to garner more support for the president, but some of these commentaries are also aimed at Obama's opponents.
