Editor,Once again, our lawmakers are back in session trying to shop away at our rights and freedoms. this one is not about guns, but about a mandatory helmet law. todd Weiler of Woods Cross says that if a biker gets hurt, it costs the state money to take care of him even if he already has insurance.Has this Guy every looked into how many car drivers are killed due to head injuries? Most of them are. Where is his cry for helmets in cars? We have to take care of them. All pro-car drivers would never get into a car without a helmet, whether in NASCAR or any time when they're doing test driving. What about bicycle riders, hikers, people walking down the street who get hit or fall and hit their heads. Skiers do also. They don't even have insurance.Todd Weiler is picking on one group and it sounds like a good case of government discrimination.I ride a motorcycle and the worst accident I have had was when some wasps hit me in the chest, went into my helmet and started stinging me. Side vision is also affected with helmets, which can cause an accident.
