LeBron James exits loss to Jazz with 'sick feeling'

LOS ANGELES -- While much of the focus Sunday at Staples Center will be on Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, in the wake of their incident during last week's NBA All-Star Game, it might be Heat forward LeBron James who most needs to change the focus.

James bypassed a potential game-winning scoring opportunity in the closing seconds of Friday's 99-98 loss to the Utah Jazz, reigniting the debate of his deferential play in such situations.

Wade says focus is on Lakers, not Kobe or All-Star foul

LOS ANGELES -- All you need to know is this: When Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant squared off in an exhibition last week, they played like the game meant something.

Sunday, they meet in a game that means something, which means the rivalry is about to be taken to the next level.

For all the storylines entering the Miami Heat's game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center, including the Heat coming off Friday's loss to the Utah Jazz, the Lakers' size advantage and the national-television glare, they all stand secondary to ... the masked man.

League-wide secrecy complicates NHL's attempt to combat head injuries

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Sidney Crosby, the world's most talented hockey player, made big news over the weekend during his trip to South Florida.

He did this not by scoring a hat trick for the Pittsburgh Penguins or even playing in Friday night's game, but merely by skating in circles for 27 minutes during a non-contact workout earlier that same day.
