PLAIN CITY — The Arts Council is bringing excitement to this town by sponsoring the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus. The circus will come to town July 8 at the Town Square.

Well, if the 4-A Utah All-Star game was any indication, the South has already rose again, as the South all-stars used a consistent attack of 16 hits to prevail over the North 19-9 late Saturday at Lindquist Field.

OGDEN — The South All-Star’s offense rolled in the Utah High School All-Star Baseball 3-A game, as the South used 18 hits to beat the North 19-12 at Lindquist Field.

LAYTON — The sounds and sights of freedom were evident Saturday at Layton Commons Park for the Sounds of Freedom event, held to bring in funds for a couple of military programs.

NORTH SALT LAKE — Students at Legacy Preparatory Academy in North Salt Lake will no longer be graduating from the charter school with their high school diploma because the decision has been made to discontinue grades 10 through 12 for the upcoming school year.
