Yellowstone snowmobiling
There are still openings for the Yellowstone snowmobile trip, Jan. 11- 13. For more information, call Outdoor Recreation at 777-2225.

Includes transportation, trip leader, two nights lodging, one day snowmobiling, two dinners, one lunch, two breakfasts, first-run movie, Grizzly Discovery Center, IMAX Theater, $500-deductible snowmobile insurance and snowmobile clothing if needed. Lodging will be at the Three Bear Lodge in West Yellowstone, Mont. (800) 646-7353.
Ten rooms and 20 snowmobiles are reserved. Due to park rules, there are a limited number of snowmobiles, so sign up early.
Ages 8-17 must be accompanied by a parent. Participants must be at least 16 years old and have a valid driver's liver's license with you.
Customers must bring money for lunch on the way up and a $15 park entrance fee if going into Yellowstone National Park. If you bring your own snowmobile clothing, please include warm gloves, clothes in layers, and warm boots.
Circuit training starts
At the Hill Health & Wellness Center, new circuit training is 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
There are 10 stations including sit-ups, step, squats, lunges, push-ups, shoulder press, biceps and triceps.
In addition, Ladies Fitness Night will be 6 p.m. Jan. 12 for $10 per person. For more information, call 777-2762.
Among activities that night will be food demonstrations in the kitchen:
6 p.m., portion control, HAWC nutritionist
6:15 p.m., power foods
6:30 p.m., Recipe Ideas in the HAWC Classroom
6:45 p.m., Harvest Moon, holistic nutrition for women
7 p.m., Elite Nutrition Center, Star Jaques and Jeni Mathews, protein, supplements
7:15 p.m., cholesterol information, nurse, Maj. Linda Hagemann
7:30 p.m., Therapeutix Massage, styles of massage and services offered
7:45 p.m., Striders, running shoes, fit and buying tips, anatomy of shoes
Other demonstrations on health and wellness to be in the yoga room:
8 p.m., Total Body, Devin Gongora, demonstrations on proper exercise techniques
8:15 p.m., yoga, Yoga Jo's Alison Trowbridge stretching, techniques and benefits of yoga
8:30 p.m., salsa dance, Hortencia Perez, salsa dance demonstrations
8:45 p.m., fitness staff, equipment demonstrations upstairs
Services include cholesterol testing sign-up.
Gifts and prizes include calorie counters, water bottles, tape measures, waterproof ID cases, health journals, resistance bands and T-shirts.
Winter softball leagues begin
Snowball Softball is Jan. 26. Cost is $180 per 15-person team with a maximum of 18 teams. Cost includes trophy and T-shirt. Sign up by Jan. 22 with Mo Uhlhorn at 777-4617 or email Maurice.Uhlhorn@hill.af.mil. Games begin at 8 a.m. at the softball field.

Sewing volunteers needed
The Hill Heroes will meet 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. As of the week before Christmas about 20 dolls and 20 pillowcases were needed and that number may be larger. Those able to help are welcome. Lunch will be provided.
Tech. Sgt. Jen Lyon will need help in keeping volunteers informed and in keeping "Assembly Parties" on track.
Upcoming Hill Hero dates: Jan. 11, Jan. 25, Feb. 8, Feb. 22, March 14 and March 28.
