Breinholt benefit
A benefit concert and dinner for the Blue Star mothers on June 28 will feature Peter Breinholt, folk and pop artist, at the American West Heritage Center, Wellsville. Dinner will begin at 4 p.m., and the concert will follow at 6 p.m. Concert tickets are $10, dinner, $5 and combined concert and dinner, $12. Family passes are available for $35.

Legal hours
Due to a training operation the Legal Assistance Office's operating hours have been changed.

Legal assistance attorney hours will be cancelled 2 p.m.-3 p.m., June 24 and 8 a.m.-9 a.m., June 26. In addition, general legal assistance (for POA and notaries) Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be provided only on a limited basis June 23-27.

Deployed passes
Free 2008 deployed family summer season pool passes are available at the Warrior Health and Fitness Center.

An immediate family member must be deployed in either June, July or August 2008 to be eligible.

Please present Deployment Orders at the pool to receive your free Summer Season Family Pass

Free rides, discount
Hollywood Connection wants to salute all of Utah troops with a Military Appreciation Day on June 25, noon-9:30 p.m.

Hollywood Connection is an indoor family attraction center offering rides, skating, food and a variety of games and is located at 3217 Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City (across from the E Center).

There will be a children's parade at 4 p.m.

Rafting trips open
Outdoor Travel still has openings for the June 27-29 Jackson Hole white water rafting trip. Other trips are planned for July 11-13, July 25- 27, Aug. 8-10 and Sept. 5-7. All trips are $125 per person. Cost includes transportation, campground, raft, equipment, trip leader and four meals. A minimum of 15 participants for each trip is required with a maximum of 24.

Widowmaker tickets

Information, Tickets and Travel has discount tickets for the Widowmaker Hillclimb.

The world's most recognized Championship Motorcycle Hillclimb is June 20-21 in Croydon, Utah. The site is the east side of the Widowmaker grounds, Exit 111 off Interstate 84.

A two-day ticket is $20, one-day, $15. Children ages 7-12, $2.50.

Volunteers needed
The Airman's Attic is looking for airmen to give three hours of their time each week helping to receive, separate and display donated items.

Volunteers are needed mostly between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Soccer registration
The Youth Center is currently registering players, ages 3-12, for two youth soccer leagues.

Deadline is July 3. Cost is $35 for ages 5-12 and $25 for ages 3-4.

Coaches are also needed.

The Airman and Family Readiness Center will feature Al Bingham, author of "Road to 850, " June 25 at 6 p.m., in Building 150.

He will discuss strategies for improving your credit score.

Defenders' picnic
The Salute to Our Nation's Defenders Picnic is scheduled for July 18, 3 p.m., at Centennial Park. All active-duty, Reserve and Guard military members are invited to this free event.

Food will be served from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be a live band, rock climbing and bouncy castles.
