Motorcycle ride
"Ride for PKD" July 26 at Friendship Park in South Ogden will raise money to help others with polycystic kidney disease. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the ride will leave the park at 10 a.m. Everyone will return to the park after the ride for a barbecue lunch by Holy Smoke BBQ. Registration is $25 per person and $40 per couple, including lunch and a t-shirt. PTK is one of the most common life threatening genetic diseases in the world and affects 12.5 million people worldwide. The event is to help support a local man, Ken Brown of Roy, who is facing the challenges of this disease.

Venezuela Cantando and Kenshin Taiko
The Garcia family from the town of Barquisimeto in Venezuela will play their tropical music on cuatro maracas and guitar and their music will be laced with the distinctive harpa llanera or "plains harp" of the savannas region. Taiko drumming is a dramatic Japanese art form that requires the combined skills of musicianship and choreography. Sponsored by the Japanese Church of Christ in Salt Lake City, Kenshin Taiko performs an adaption of this centuries-old drumming tradition designed for modern audiences. Monday, July 28, 7 p.m., in front of the Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts at Salt Lake City's Liberty Park. Free.
'Abb-solutely' ABBA
Direct from Sweden, the tribute group Arrival is the best touring Abba show in the world, with exclusive rights to exactly re-create Abba's costumes, music and staging. The live band and vocalists have mastered the sound of Abba so perfectly, a test on Swedish national radio fooled even the biggest fans. It's a Pioneer Day pop music party featuring hits "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen" and more. July 24, 8 p.m. SCERA in Orem, 699 S. State St., $10 adults.
Salt Lake Bees, fireworks

Downtown Farmers Market
Saturday mornings, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Historic Pioneer Park (300 West 300 South) in Salt Lake City features the Downtown Farmers Market. Fresh produce from more than 70 Utah farmers, a variety of fresh baked breads and pastries, cheese, meat and seafood, jams and jellies, house and garden plants, arranged planters and numerous handmade arts and crafts can be found at the market.
