ACC adviser to speak at Warrior Call
A Team Hill Warrior Call will take place Friday, Aug. 1, from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Club Hill Ballroom with a special guest speaker, Albert "Bull" Mitchum Jr. He is the political adviser to the commander of Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. He will speak on the topic, "The Global Threat." Dress is Uniform of the Day. First Friday Social to commence at 4:30 p.m.
Project to close 6th Street entrance
The 75th Civil Engineering Squadron has a pavement construction project on Southgate Drive (Wardleigh Road to 6th Street) which will require the excavation of old concrete and asphalt as well as some sidewalks and curbs.
The Phase 4 effort of this project started July 17 on the west half of Southgate Drive from Building 279 to 6th Street and affects the parking lot entrance south of Building 244. Starting approximately Aug. 1, the east half of this phase will affect the gate entrance at 6th Street; the vehicle gate entrance will be closed from 6 p.m., Aug. 1 through midnight Aug. 2. Alternate crosswalk routes between Building 503 and the parking lot south of Building 244 will be clearly marked during this construction.

Southgate Drive will close briefly
The Phase 5 effort of the Southgate Drive project will last approximately from 6 p.m., Aug. 8 through midnight Aug. 9. Southgate Drive from 4th Street to 6th Street will be closed. Alternate route for Southgate Drive is D Avenue. The intersections of 4th and West 6th Streets with Southgate Drive will remain open.

Sesame Street Live needs volunteers
Among the ways volunteers could help Sesame Street Live:
* Unload the USO tour truck and set up from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, July 31.
* Assist with costumes from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 1.
* Assist with security from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 1
* Assist with costumes from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Aug 1.
* Assist with security from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Aug 1.
* Hand out goody bags from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Aug. 1.
* Hand out goody bags from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Aug. 1.
* Take down the set and load USO tour truck from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Aug 1.
Location will be Northridge High School Auditorium, (Layton, Hill Field Road).
