Power outage set for Aug. 22-23
There will be a multi-building power outage, Friday, Aug. 22 and Saturday, Aug. 23, for a total of five hours each day.
On Aug. 22, the outage will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. On Aug. 23, the outage will start at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.
The following buildings will be affected:
Buildings 728, 709, 710, 717, 720, 723, 723A, 725, 727, 732, 741, 743, 744, 745, 747, 748, 749, 751, 752, 753, 756, 798, 10757, the East Gate, the Pump Station, the Hot Pad, P8001, the Burn Pit and associated buildings, Prime Beef, Borta Area and ABDR.
The outage is required to install an armor rod.
Weiner closed today, Aug. 22, 28
The 75th Civil Engineer Squadron has a pavement construction project at Southgate Avenue and Weiner Street (near Building 366) to expand the parking lot from the southeast corner of Building 366 to the edge of Weiner Street and across Weiner Street into Lot 52.
The construction effort of this project started Aug. 4 southeast and south of Building 366. This project will affect the parking lot entrance on Southgate Avenue. Weiner Street will close for three days including Aug. 21, 22 and 28. Alternate route is 6th Street and B Lane. The north part of Lot 52 will also be closed from Aug. 21 to Aug. 28.

West Gate to close on weekends
The road extending from the west gate of Hill Air Force Base, known as State Road 103, to State Road 126 (1900 West) in Clearfield, will close as will the adjacent Interstate 15 interchange on two separate weekends in late August and early September.
The first closure will occur on Saturday, Aug. 23, at8 p.m. The crews from Granite Construction will remove the present surface and replace it with new asphalt, which will take approximately two evenings and will be completed by 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 25.
The second closure will be Sept. 7, and will close the entire interchange and roadway from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. that evening. An asphalt seal coat will be applied.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes into Hill Air Force Base, Clearfield, Sunset and Clinton as all I-15 ramps at Exit 335 will be closed during these periods.
