Roy High to host Bar J Wranglers concert

The Jackson Hole Bar J Wranglers Christmas Concert tickets for Dec. 16 are now on sale.

The concert will be 7 p.m. in the Roy High School auditorium. Tickets are $20, $15 and $10 and reserved seating is available.

Wasatch Elementary School needs tutors

Wasatch Elementary School needs volunteers who will be used to assist teachers with students who need extra help with reading and math skills. They may be required to use guided curriculum when working with students.

South Davis Rec Center Thanksgiving Day 5K

Come to the Thanksgiving Day 5K Fun Run and Kids K on Nov. 27, at the South Davis Recreation Center, 550 N. 200 West in Bountiful. The 5K will begin at 9 a.m. On-line registration is available. To learn more visit www.southdavisrecreation.com

Toastmaster Club issues invitation to new members

Hill Climbers Toastmaster Club No. 4846 meets from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each Wednesday at Hill Air Force Base Building 1225 in the north conference room. Participants will learn to become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience and gain additional skills. A membership drive is ongoing; dues will be waived for six months with paid new member's fee of $20.

The club invites potential members to check out the meetings.

Giving Thanks for Recovery presentation

Davis Behavioral Health is hosting a special Giving Thanks for Recovery evening Wednesday, Nov. 26. The public is invited to come and learn about the recovery process from author Andrew Hogan, who will speak on the topic "Taking Steps Toward a More Peaceful Life." His presentation will begin at 7 p.m. at the Davis Behavioral Health Community Room, 934 S. Main, in Layton. Andrew is the author of "Bipolar Disorder, Enduring Well," "Into my Manic Mind" and "Bipolar Disorder, 5 Steps Toward a More Peaceful Life." Following the presentation, Hogan will open the time for questions and answers.
