Sept. 5, laser tag: Play the coolest system in laser tag from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., both indoor and outdoor at the Youth Center. Cost is $5.
Sept. 8-12, Air Force Cooking Camp: This Air Force-sponsored class will teach youths how to cook. The class is held all week in the kitchen from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please sign up by Sept. 5. Cost is $5.
Every Thursday, Keystone Club Meeting: Open to ages 13-18, this club meets from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Voice your ideas for activities, events and field trips offered at the Youth Center.
Every Thursday, Torch Club Meeting: Open to ages 9-13, this club meets from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Voice your ideas for activities, events and field trips offered at the Youth Center.
Sept. 13, Give Parents a Break/Give Kids a Break: From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Give Parents A Break is free child care for active duty families who have a family member deployed and requires a referral from the Airman and Family Readiness Center and AF Form 1181. The Child Development Center cares for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and the Youth Center cares for children kindergarten to age 12. Please register before September 10. If space is available, GPAB will accommodate individuals without a referral. The fee without a referral is $15 with a completed AF Form 1181.
Continuing through Sept. 8, flag football registration.
Sept. 26, movie night: Youth Programs will show two new DVD movies rated PG or below. Popcorn and drinks are included. Cost is $5.
Sept. 12, skate night: 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the gym. Children ages 6-8 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5 per person.
Fit Factor: Get up, get out, get fit! Earn points and prizes through this computer- based interactive program. Receive up to 100 points a day for doing everyday activities such as basketball, foosball and washing dishes. Sign up at www.afgetfit.com to receive your first prize.
Magic class: Beginner and intermediate level classes on Tuesday with Justus Crawford in Building 883, Youth Center. Cost is $40 per month.
Decades Dance: Ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, cheer, tumbling, adult classes and Parent and Me Classes taught by Leah Jones in Building 520. Cost is $40 a month, discounts per additional classes.
Karate is held on Monday and Wednesday, $40 a month, taught by Master Gloria Olson in Building 520.
Shorei Goju Ryu karate is held Tuesday or Thursday for $40 per month, taught by Master Eddie Porter in Building 520.
Patriot judo is held on Wednesday and Friday, $30 per month, taught by Coach Don Chesmer in Building 520.
Youth Employment Skills Program is an on-base volunteer program for high school students sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society. This program offers students an opportunity to learn valuable work skills, "bank" dollar credits toward their post-secondary education, and have a positive impact on their base community. YES allows students $4 in grant funding for every hour volunteered for an on-base organization.
Appropriate dress required for all Youth Center functions. Halter tops and spaghetti straps are not permitted. Shirts must cover midriff. Garments should not contain inappropriate slogans or advertisement for alcohol, tobacco or include sexually suggestive content or text. Pants will not be worn in a manner that shows undergarments. Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended.
