Team Hill chills out with Summer Road Show

Team Hill was treated to a twin billed concert featuring Heidi Newfield and Kimberly Locke on Aug. 23. The performers encouraged the audience to crowd the stage after the show began and by the last song by Locke most of the those enjoying the performance were standing there.

The country sound of Newfield and her band kept the crowd going until the final bill. Newfield's latest album, "What am I Waiting For" was recently released and she and her band performed a mix of songs from that album including the title track and her previous album including a song from her stint as a lead singer with "One Trick Pony."

Kimberley Locke told the crowd she enjoys singing for military audiences and saved her best for last, belting out "Eighth Wonder of the World" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." She and Newfield have toured for military and USO shows and the crowd responded in turn to their mentions of support for the Air Force and those holding up the homefront with enthusiasm.
