Team Hill Junior Force Council seeks contest entries
Wednesday, September 3, 2008
The Team Hill Junior Force Council is sponsoring a writing contest for all Hill Air Force Base personnel both military and civil service.
Aspiring writers are encouraged to submit their articles to the TH-JFC mailbox: Hill.JFC@hill.af.mil by Sept. 12.
The Team Hill Junior Force Council serves as a forum for the junior work force to communicate their concerns and have those concerns addressed and resolved at the highest levels. The primary focus of TH-JFC is to be the voice of the junior force members of Hill AFB and all of its tenant units. "Junior Force" is defined as military or civil service members who have less than 10 years of service, regardless of age. This definition need not be exclusive of others interested in participation with JFC activities.
The mission of the Team Hill JFC is to support and develop the junior work force by voicing their concerns and facilitating improvement in seven primary focus areas:
* Defining career paths and progression
* Building a mentoring culture
* Supervisory tools
* Strengthening feedback
* Energizing recognition efforts
* Improving communication
* Institutionalizing the Junior Force Council.
Its vision is to help establish a culture which supports and values the continuous development of Hill AFB junior forces into superior USAF leaders and employees
