Have you ever heard someone talking about a movie and been oblivious? Or, better yet, have you ever wanted to have a movie that you can talk about that no one else can comment on as you summarize it?

If you have, here's a list of amazing movies that most teenagers have never even heard of. Whether they are out of their time, unpopular or just plain cheesy, these are 10 of the Greatest Movies You Have Never Seen.

1. "Labyrinth"

This film stars David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. In a movie where the first line is "Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered ...," what can be bad? This 1986 film features goblins, a kidnapped baby, a talking blue worm and great '80s style for those of you who can appreciate a true mullet. A great movie for families and individuals alike!

2. "So I Married an Axe Murderer"

Mike Myers stars in this hilarious movie about a down-on-his-luck poet, his crazy family and his growing suspicions that the woman he loves is a wanted serial killer. The 1993 film is full of laughs and interesting until the final exciting twist at the end.

3. "Gattaca"

Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke star in this futuristic drama about overcoming obstacles that prevent you from reaching your dreams. In a place where everything is and can be chosen about a person before he's born, there is little choice about the future. Through deceit and planning, one man attempts to reach a goal that he is not supposed to have. This 1997 movie is interesting and high in the "what-if" factor.

4. "Look Who's Talking"

Starring Kirstie Alley and John Travolta, this 1989 movie is about a single mom and her over-the-top nanny. Her nanny and son, Mikey, work together to sabotage her dates. There is a growing attraction between nanny and employer; will a terrifying event bring them closer together? Watch it to find out.

5. "True Lies"

This thriller is a 1994 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. This was Arnold before he ever became the "Governator," at the height of his acting career. This movie has terrorists, espionage, an amazing tango and an oblivious wife and daughter. The many levels of intense action (lots of big explosions) and subtle humor (people in the definite wrong place at the wrong time) make this movie a "must-see."

6. "My Giant"

With Billy Crystal in the lead role, the value of this 1998 film lies not in the plot but in the morals that it represents. Acceptance and kindness are recurring themes, as well as sticking up for your beliefs. Also, Crystal offers plenty of comedic relief, making it an all-around good film.

7. "Center Stage"

A 2000 movie starring Amanda Schull, "Center Stage" is the "Step Up" of ballet. Throw in some inner conflicts, killer dance moves and romance galore, and you have a seriously good movie. Watch out for the final number, it is as cool as ballet gets.

8. "Legendsof the Fall"

This movie stars Brad Pitt, Aiden Quinn, Julia Ormond and Anthony Hopkins. If you are interested in a huge family drama set right in the middle of Montana after the first World War, then this is your film. The 1994 movie includes a ranch, a funeral and a fight between brothers over a widow. It's like a soap opera without the long, drawn-out seasons, and should be watched with caution, due to some violence and sexual content.

9. "Willow"

A movie about fantasy and determination could not get any better than the 1988 film "Willow," starring Billy Barty and Tony Cox. It features magic, an evil queen, little people, scary dog creatures and Val Kilmer.

10. "Imaginary Heroes"

The only thing that can be said about this film is that it is everything a dark or "emo" movie should be. The 2004 flick, starring Sigourney Weaver and Jeff Daniels, is rated "R," for language and some questionable detail, but it is a good movie that teaches a lesson of acceptance and that people are not always what they seem.

There they are, my Top 10 Unknown Movies. Different from the films you usually see in the theaters, they can inspire, teach a lesson, or even change a viewpoint. Most of them show morals in a way that is rare in movies found in popular culture. And these films are about people we are able to relate to, people who teach perseverance and kindness, determination and love. But, above all, they teach acceptance, which is something a lot of the world continues to lack.

The lessons these movies teach are priceless; luckily, the movies are not. Remember this the next time you pass over an old film because of poor computer graphics. The older movies may not have better visuals, but they do have better morals, and those will stick with you much longer than any big explosion.
