Standard-Examiner Community News Forms The regular deadline for the Sunday publication of weddings, birthdays and anniversaries is noon the previous Tuesday. Announcements can be taken to the Standard-Examiner in Ogden, the Davis Bureau at 67 S. Main St., Suite 140, Layton, or sent by e-mail to communitynews@standard.net. Local couples may choose a wedding or engagement announcement, but not both. Announcements will only be printed within a two-month period after the wedding date. The Standard-Examiner will publish anniversary notices for residents married 50 years or longer. Birthday stories are limited to residents 80 years or older and one person per story. Photos printed on matte paper or from home printers may not reproduce well. Good quality glossy pictures reproduce the best. Digital photos must be 5 X 7, 300 dpi, or may not reproduce well. Photos with children or pets will not be accepted. Pictures are kept on file for three weeks. There is a $25 fee for publishing pictures, which must be paid before an announcement will run. If a copyright is stamped on a photograph, written permission from the photographer must be furnished to the Standard-Examiner before publication. The Standard-Examiner is not responsible for damage to photographs or written materials intended for publication. Notices must be typed or printed clearly and include daytime telephone numbers in case there is a question. Stories are edited for style, length and clarity and may not appear as submitted.
