PARK CITY -- Weber State football coach Ron McBride was taken by ambulance to LDS Hospital Monday afternoon after experiencing extreme fatigue and dizziness while participating in the golf tournament at Jeremy Golf and Country Club as part of the Big Sky Conference football meetings.
McBride, 67, was held overnight and is expected to be released today, although his return to the football meetings is doubtful. Doctors performed blood tests on McBride and WSU athletic director Jerry Graybeal said all the results were fine after talking with McBride's wife, Vicky, who was at the hospital.
Graybeal said doctors would probably perform an angiogram this morning to make sure there is no blockage to McBride's heart.
McBride returned from a 10-day trip to Hawaii over the weekend, and the extended travel may have played a role in his fatigue.
