OGDEN -- A couple of new faces will be joining the Weber State basketball team while a couple of familiar ones say goodbye.
OGDEN - Sterling Castle was already busy.
Between family, work and coaching responsibilities, the Ogden High School boys soccer coach wasn't lacking for things to stay occupied. Then came an opportunity to spearhead the Ogden Community Soccer Complex movement, and Castle couldn't pass it up.
"It needs to happen," Castle said. "There's no way I was going to do it by myself, which is why I did a lot of talking, and we got some people together. The community put this thing into a new gear, and this thing's bigger than I could have ever imagined.
Weber State men's basketball senior Davion Berry has been selected to participate in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament this week in Portsmouth, Va. He is one of 64 seniors around the country invited to the tournament, which is one of the top pre-draft tournaments in the nation.
Tony Perez was on the road with the Cincinnati Reds in 1966 when he got the call that his first child was on the way. There was no discussion about leaving the team to attend Victor's birth, no such thing as paternity leave.
