AMERICAN FORK — American Fork can’t ban panhandling outright, but it’s trying to make it as uncomfortable as possible for people to ask for money at a busy intersection.

AMERICAN FORK — The city of American Fork has agreed not to enforce an anti-panhandling law, after a homeless man who had been cited multiple times for holding a sign on public sidewalks filed a federal lawsuit claiming the rule selectively barred free speech.
Elaine Goddard Gibbs, born October 24, 1924, died Friday, September 28, 2012, in Mesa, Ariz. Visitation was held October 5 at Bunker’s Garden Chapel in Mesa, Ariz. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 N. 900 East, American Fork, and from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday before the service at the church.
