Growing up with a dad who played football for Weber State and eventually in the USFL, Andrew Rich knew that he had the chance to play beyond high school.
What he didn't know was that he would finish his career at BYU as the senior leader of a defense that improved after the first half of the 2010 season.
"The one thing that I remember from this season was that I wasn't satisfied with the first half of the season and we tried to make sure that we regained that fire and intensity that (BYU coach Bronco) Mendenhall has had here at BYU," Rich said. "For as much as I wanted to grow, even more than that, I wanted to win. Playing at BYU was a thrill for me because I had to earn my way on the field. I was never satisfied with what happened and it continues here in Scottsdale, (Ariz)."
