BRIGHAM CITY -- County officials recently approved Box Elder's share in the statewide aerial predator control program that will feature marksmen in helicopters and airplanes gunning coyotes.The main beneficiaries are lambs, the favorite target of coyotes, officials said.
BRIGHAM CITY -- Six decorated homes, plus the Brigham City Historic Depot, will open their doors to visitors on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. as the Civic Improvement Club hosts its annual Holiday Home Show.This year, five of the homes are in Willard and one is in Perry, with old and new, antiques and modern furnishings, plus a variety of holiday embellishments. The Depot, at 833 West Forest, will be filled with the decorated trees of Christmas Tree Lane.
BRIGHAM CITY -- City Hall has reached out to the Brigham City Peaches baseball team in its efforts at revitalizing the 92-year-old franchise.After recent publicity of the push to buff up the hometown team, city officials contacted Manager Rob King to urge him to apply for a city grant. Peach fans have been lobbying the city for relief from fees charged for using the city's Pioneer Park lighted ball field, $300 a year for 12 home games, and whatever else assistance might be available.

Marva Joan Bingham Fackrell Rock, 82, died peacefully and gracefully on November 22, 2013, near her daughters home in Sandy, Utah, three years after leaving her long-time home in Brigham City, Utah. In recent years, Marva's memories faded due to Lewy Body Dementia (similar to Alzheimers), but her physical health and unique and fun-loving spirit was strong to the end.
