Davis girls win third straight track championship

PROVO — On a soggy Clarence F. Robison Track at Brigham Young University Saturday, the Davis High School girls track team proved for the third consecutive year why they deserve to be state 5-A champs.

PROVO — Davis High’s boys track team scored in every event and finished with 117.5 points, notching their third-consecutive state 5-A championship at Brigham Young University’s Clarence F. Robison track on Saturday evening.

St. Michael’s to host Clearfield church

BRIGHAM CITY — On Sunday, the service of Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at St. Michael’s at 11:30 a.m.

It is Pentecost Sunday, and the church will be hosting its sister parish of St. Peter’s Clearfield. St. Peter’s choir will be singing for this service. Lunch will follow the service.

Brigham project is cost-effective

BRIGHAM CITY — A large freeway project is set to take place in Brigham City this summer, and while the work will cause some headaches for motorists, the state says it’s completing the project for a fraction of what it would normally cost.
