FRESNO, Calif. — Robbie Rouse ran for 140 yards, including the clinching fourth-quarter touchdown, as Fresno State stormed back to defeat Utah State 31-21 on Saturday night in Western Athletic Conference action.

Derek Carr completed 23 of 39 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns for Fresno State (3-4, 2-0 WAC), including a 23-yarder to Jalen Saunders that put the Bulldogs ahead. Carr also ran for a score.

Robert Turbin had 155 rushing yards on 16 carries for Utah State (2-4, 0-1), whose three previous losses had come by a combined eight points.

Prep baseball: Tough day at diamond for locals

CEDAR -- Oh those comebacks.

Morgan High's baseball team held leads in a pair of state 3-A tournament games Saturday at Canyon View High School but ended up out of the tourney with a pair of hard-luck losses.

The Trojans led host Canyon View 4-1 but fell 7-5 in the first round. Cormick Breshears and Kade Carrigan homered for Morgan.
