Region 5 swimmers poised to make splash at state

HYRUM — With each passing year, it seems as though the Region 5 swimmers make a bigger splash in the pool at state.

Paced by Box Elder and the Cache Valley schools, the Top of Utah has fared quite well at the state 4-A championships.

HYRUM— School officials in Hyrum have cancelled classes at Mountain Crest High School after a student said she overheard talk of guns and suicide.

HYRUM — A Pleasant View woman is trying to identify the occupants of a pickup truck that reportedly contributed to her son’s serious injuries by causing his ATV to plummet into a ravine Saturday night in a Cache County campground.

Region 5 track action under way

HYRUM -- Bringing home the Region 5 track and field titles will be a tall task, but the southern schools in the league will give it a shot.

Box Elder, Roy and Bonneville made their mark on the first day of acion at the region meet at Mountain Crest High, with the Bees leading the girls standings and sitting one point behind Sky View in the boys standings.
