A woman who had overcome great adversity to run in the Boston Marathon on Monday says she instantly changed her perspective about what is important when two bomb blasts went off at the finish line.
Toby Nishikawa, 40, of Willard, said she realized Monday how precious life is and how important her family is to her.
Her family was watching her at Mile 23 of the 26.2-mile marathon.
“Had they gone to the finish after that, they would have been right there,” she said.
